That fact that she defies the norm and basically “came out of nowhere” is perfect. Like a story not even her saw coming, Helen Downie´s sensitivity and courage have made possible for her multiple exhibitions and even work collaborations with brands like Gucci.

After coming out of a battle with cancer, Hellen started painting “on a whim” as she puts it at age 48, when passing by an art supply store one day. She initially planned to paint for 6 weeks only but then couldn´t stop.

With no formal training and working by the alias Unskilled Worker, this British artist has amass more than 250 thousand instagram followers being this platform a very big part of her professional success.
